Poland land the odds for main bet of day

Just a quickie today as will be off out to see Steve Coogan live tonight at Nottingham, have just seen a review of the show which it said was a bit hit and miss and there is an independent observation by a member of the public who isnt greatly impressed so hope it turns out rather better than those opinions seem to suggest! Its billed as "Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters" and apparently lives up to its name so at least you can't argue with that!!
The pool bets have gone pretty well so far, France were beaten 8-5 by Canada which wasnt such a great start but trickshot master Vincent Facquet was apparently feeling very sick so that wouldn't have helped much, sounds like they had chances but couldnt put them away.
Things picked up thereafter with outsiders Poland (my main bet) and Austria both winning at odds of 5/4 and 3/1 against Thailand and Vietnam respectively which puts me well ahead on the match betting so far.
The other one I had today was Holland B who I took at 11/4 against one of the tournaments favourites Taiwan so not really expecting that one to be landed but was just attracted by the favourable odds on offer. Also my remaining outright hopes Germany take on Qatar and if they dont make it through I will have drawn a blank in that sphere before the first round has ended, oh dear!!
Have been working out the Grand Prix odds and outright bets so I'll give a few thoughts on those over the next couple of days, also the Premier League returns after a week off tomorrow with Ronnie taking on Ding and Mark Selby up against Steve Davis, though looking at the early odds will probably be keeping my powder dry.
The NHL also gets underway on American and Canadian ice tomorrow night (there were four matches in Europe last weekend to showcase the league) and as I said a while back I hope to be having the odd flutter here and there as that progresses..
Anyway better get off and find a parking space!!
See you soon
Rick
